Guest guest
Hi Everyone, My name is Alan Fairbanks, im sorry that it's taken me so long to become active in this group, but im here now and I am more commited than ever to giving whatever advice and support to anyone who is living with Autistic Spectrum Dissorders, and also anyone who has had an experience of working with people with an ASD. I am a 20 Year old/young man with High Functioning Aspergers Syndrome. When I was 8 I was first diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome. When I was 10 I was sent a to Residential Special Education School called Cruckton Hall School and I was there untill I was 18. It was while I was at this Special School that my IQ arose from 86 - 108. It was also when I was at this Special Education School that I achieved 7 gcse's. When I was 18 1/2 I suffered a freak that has left me semi paralysed for the rest of my life. It was shortly after I had my that I noticed that there was so much more people could do with thier time if they just started talking calmly and approachable, people would get on with them a lot more. I am now living at a ASD Hospital in Bedfordshire and am living life to the full. I would be very pleased if everyone who is a member of this group would send me Private/non private e-mail's so that I can start to get to know other people out there like me.
