We don't qualify for SSI but we do get medicaid that takes care of s

therapy. I was told that no matter what your income that you can get this

because autism is considered a disability. Here in PA it's called a

" loophole " clause. I had to go threw welfare for this which was really hard

since I've never even had to get unemployment before so I didn't know what

the heck I was doing.

Our (Wisconsin) program like that is called Becket. It is based on a

child's disability rather than the parent's income. It pays for all of

Ebony medical co-pays, prescriptions, and her therapy. It is wonderful!!

IF you can get it...here in OK, we have been on the waiting list

since last April, and I was recently told that we are two years (if

we are lucky and they don't cut funding again) from ANY service at

all.

It pays to get on the waiting list, but depending on how your state

prioritizes it, you may or may not get much in the way of help...
