my puter sent that last one on its own.

so it worked out ok.

btw, the rabies shots go like this

day 1 4 needles one in wound, one arm and one in each butt cheek.

day 4, 7, 14 and 28, just one needle in my arm.

the worst was yesterday and the 4 shots - it was a real pain in the butt....

Re: Re:Rabies

In this kind of situation I write out a script. A

detailed, precisely worded statement.

Even if I don't read my script, it is in my

short-term memory so I have an improved chance of

saying the important things I want to

communicate.

People listening are more forgiving then people

reading. It is expected to not have the exact

words or proper pronounciation when speaking.

Also, the brain corrects mistakes. If you

misspeak, the listener's brain will supply the

correct word for understanding.

I would be careful not to critize the dog's owner

for allowing it to be loose. A defensive owner

might be afraid to come forth. I would say that

their assistance is requested so I would not have

to go through the painful series of shots.

Hoping you will find this comforting: Treatment

for rabies used to be 20 shots in the stomache,

adminstered in the hospital. Today it is 5-7

shots in the arm or butt, spread over time.

I am uncertain about telling the interviewer

about your autism. They might de-emphasize the

dog's bitting you for the sake of a sensational

story.

This is bigger than having autism. This is a

warning that a dangerous animal is attacking

people.

Tell us what happens.
