Zachary's new speech ther.

Hi Everyone, After all the complaining I did about the school, I

thought I let you all know Zachary has a new speech teacher. She is

from my older son's school(which I work at in the afternoon). The

new teacher actually came to me and said she has a few questions

about CHARGE and how it affects Zach. What a change from the old

teacher. SHe will be meeting with me next week to talk. I can't

believe after 2 years of no support from speech now it looks like

things will change. Thank God!! This teacher also told me she feels

the atmospher is sooo different at the other school. She said much

more formal. I didn't say too much to her. After all, she still

works for the school district and I don't really feel comfortable

saying too much. But the important thing is she is open to addtional

information. She said she is interested in any new developments or

info. pertaining to language. I did take the opportunity to tell her

Zachary needs to get individual speech to work on the sounds he

misses because of the hearing loss. She wants to get to know him a

little better before making any decisions. I told her that I was

willing to wait until the end of the first marking peroid before I

persue this. I can't wait for our meeting. This is the first

positive thing to happen since Zachary started in the district. Wish
