Guest guest
I made a really awesome pie awhile back. Beth in TX No-Bake Pumpkin Cream Pie 3 c. Splenda 2 8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened 1 stick (1/4 lb) butter 2 Tbs vanilla (I used vanilla Davinci syrup) 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1 29 oz can pumpkin 3/4 c. heavy cream Beat everything but pumpkin until fluffy, then beat in pumpkin until well blended. Spoon into buttered pie plate or nut crust (I like pecan/coconut crusts best) and refrigerate 6 hours. How much Splenda do you use if you have the packets of Splenda and not the granular? Guest guest
, 3 cups of splenda would be 72 packets. That sounds like a Lot of splenda to me. It's like a half a carb per packet at least that is what I remember Terry saying in a previous post. So the splenda alone would be 41 grams of carbs if that's true. Of course there are like 8 pieces in a cream pie so that would make it 5.1 carbs per slice for the splenda anyway. HTH Cheryl Ü I just saw this.... Thanks Cheryl

Guest guest
One packet equals 2 teaspoons of Splenda, so 24 packets equals the sweetness of 1 cup of Splenda, and 3 x 24 is 72, so in order to get 3 cups worth of sweetness from Splenda packets, you would indeed need to use 72 packets. 72 packets will not measure 3 cups in volume however. Terry Well I dont know if 72 packets was wrong but that's what I used. It tastes fine to me.....not overly sweet and not underly sweet if that makes sense. This recipe made enough to fill up 2 pie pans so someone posted that the recipe had 140 carbs in it so if you half that that is 70 per pie (at least of mine) and then I cut each pie into 8 slices so that is 8.75 carbs per slice. I dont think that's too bad.....not for me anyway, I'm staying between 20-30 carbs per day. 240/192.0/150 6-16-
Guest guest
I noticed someone mentioned 3 cups Splenda would be 72 packets. Excuse me but I think the packets and the bulk measure very differently. If it says 3 cups that is the bulk Splenda which has fluffers in it to make it measure the equivalent of sugar. Don't put 3 cups of packet filler into your pie. Janssen Southern California ilea.wj@... 72 packets is correct. It does not measure out to be 3 cups.
