We used acrylic paint and acrylic glaze (you can see pics in

's folder in the files section). They dried really quickly,

and held up for about 2 months. I reapplied the glaze once a week

to keep the band looking shiny and protect the paint, and then would

set it in front of a fan to dry. Happy decorating (and rounding!)

Kim, me being the boring mother that I am, I had an artist paint my

daughters band and it lasted not very long. lol It started chipping

and flaking and I just didn't have time to deal with it. So, I put a

strip of velcro on the band and another on a bow and changed the

color of bow to match her outfit for the day. Your idea of

decorating sounds so cool. Do you think you could post a picture of

it when your finished?

Dustie -

I am going to post a picture of Jaxson once we get the helmet back and decorated - I'm hoping it turns out as good as the picture in my head. I'm worried about messing it up and then having it look funny. We were going to have someone else paint it, but I want to have a part in it and know that I had a hand in making it look not so medical. :)
