Guest guest
Hi Shana, Welcome to the group! Your daughter will be in good hands at CT in Dallas from what I have been told. I cannot help you with your insurance woes since my insurance plopped down 80% without a problem, but I would advise you to start the process as soon as possible. Your daughter is at a great age to get correction and to get it quickly. Good luck in your decisions! - mom to Aidan STARgrad 02/04/04 GR MI --- In Plagiocephaly , " myoakfish " <busymomjklb@s...> wrote: > just wondering if anyone has any words of wisdom for bcbs/ok. they > told me that my daughter is in the requirements for treatment, but > that doesn't necessarily mean that they'll cover it. we will be > treated in dallas at CT. the insurance lady there has been > wonderful. we're new to this and i don't have a clue what to do > next. should we start treatment or wait to see what happens? bcbs > said that they don't need to preauthorize...just wondering what will > happen next! thanks! > > shana, mom to lorahbeth, 5 months old
Guest guest
Shana, Welcome to the group! You're in great hands with the Dallas CT. Have you asked the insurance lady at CT what you should do next? She'll most likely have the answer for you. Your baby is at a great age to receive great correction. Please let us know when you have a casting date. --- In Plagiocephaly , " myoakfish " <busymomjklb@s...> wrote: > just wondering if anyone has any words of wisdom for bcbs/ok. they > told me that my daughter is in the requirements for treatment, but > that doesn't necessarily mean that they'll cover it. we will be > treated in dallas at CT. the insurance lady there has been > wonderful. we're new to this and i don't have a clue what to do > next. should we start treatment or wait to see what happens? bcbs > said that they don't need to preauthorize...just wondering what will > happen next! thanks! > > shana, mom to lorahbeth, 5 months old
Guest guest
Hi Shana, welcome to the group! If you don't need a precert, I guess the question you need to ask yourself is if you are going to get a band even if they deny you. If you are willing to pay out of pocket if necessary you might as well get it ASAP. We also had BCBS and didn't need a precert, so we paid monthly on our credit card until it was resolved. , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape cod, Ma --- In Plagiocephaly , " myoakfish " <busymomjklb@s...> wrote: > just wondering if anyone has any words of wisdom for bcbs/ok. they > told me that my daughter is in the requirements for treatment, but > that doesn't necessarily mean that they'll cover it. we will be > treated in dallas at CT. the insurance lady there has been > wonderful. we're new to this and i don't have a clue what to do > next. should we start treatment or wait to see what happens? bcbs > said that they don't need to preauthorize...just wondering what will > happen next! thanks! > > shana, mom to lorahbeth, 5 months old
