Guest guest
Hi Suzi, Just wanted to congratulate you on being free of Zoloft and for being an outstanding parent! Continued success tapering off the Klonopin. I'm so happy for you! " D " > " Hello Everyone, > ...Great News!! It took a slow withdrawal of 4 months off 25mgs of > zoloft, but I did it!! I am firing him today. 10 year old daughter. I am tapering her off concerta and she is doing well. Her doctor, whom we love, and I, had it out. She said cold turkey, I said no. She finally let me do it my way... > > Suzi "

I'm on Geodon (anti-psychotic, I'm down to 24mg right now) and also on Klonopin (2mg daily) myself. I haven't started coming off the Klonopin yet, but I'm here to encourage you. I know going with slow tapers is the way to go. There are one or two other members in this group that have come off Klonopin, so hopefully they will respond to your e-mail. You're a courageous and strong person to have come this far and I'm sure your determination will also help with your actions to come off the Klonopin. You can do it! Hugs, V. Guest guest
Dear Suzi, It's great to hear from you. Thanks for updating us, and congratulations! I am thrilled to hear how you hung in there and insisted on your daughter not be abruptly taken off the drug she is on. If you need any help with her while reducing this drug please let me know. It's important that we all pull together to have her safe and healthy. Regards,
Guest guest
Thank you , I need all the encouragement and help I can get. I still don't feel like myself. If you like, you can personally email me at sjcarlock@... I set up a new email for this kind of correspondence. It is easier for me to keep track. I am seeing my Doctor Tuesday to get a prescription for valium to do a crossover from Klonopin. I have decided the Ashton taper is the way to go for me. Wish me luck! I am really foggy today....and I feel my resolve weakening. I have started the withdrawal by just shaving off a corner of my Klonopin in the morning and I am having anxiety, sleeplessness, restless legs, headaches, fatigue, agitation and depression. I wonder if I should go back to my 2mgs until I am able to get my valium. I don't know. The confusion in my brain is causing indecision. My memory is mush too. Hope to hear from you again, Suzi > > <<Anyway, I would like to hear from anyone who is personally coming > off Klonopin. Late nights need company.>> > > **Congradulations on coming off Zoloft! Guest guest
Dear Dear , It is good to hear from you too. I am not sure if I am still feeling symptoms from stopping zoloft or if I have a new journey started by razoring off just a corner of my 1mg morning Klonopin dose. I am in a fog, anxious, confusion, forgetfulness, feeling disconnected, sleepless at night, tired during the day, aches and pains in my neck, headaches, restless legs, weird dreams when I do sleep. I awaken a lot through the night. I have no energy during the day and I can't seem to even force myself to bathe for Gods sake. And I am a very clean person. My therapist and I have agreed to the Ashton taper but I won't be able to get a prescription for valium until Tuesday. What are your thoughts on this? As far as my daughter is concerned...Man, You just don't mess with a Mother, do you? We become like lionesses when it comes to our children. Here is Kaitlyn's progress. We cut from 54mgs of Concerta to 36mgs for 7 days, then down to 27mgs for 7 days. She is on her last pill of 27mgs then tomorrow she will go down to 18mgs for 7 days. She is doing well. Her appetite is getting back to normal as is her sleeping patterns. When I took her of 54mgs at first, the poor girl was literally bouncing off the walls. Her doctor insisted if she was reacting this way, it meant she needed to be on meds. Thankfully, I had read all of Dr. Breggins books and knew better. Kaitlyn missed her dose yesterday and she was more rambunctious, but not even close to when I first followed Dr. advice and c/d'd her. I am seeing the spark in my daughter again and it does my heart good. I may ask for another 2 weeks of 18mgs and go even slower, that is, if I can get a presciption out of her Doc. Do you have any other advice? Kaitlyn did have troubling focusing at school yesterday but we are not through the withdrawal process yet. I am feeling good about her progress. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank God for you and everyone in this group, Bless you all, Suzi > > Dear Suzi, > > > It's great to hear from you.
