The carnitines do cause hyperness in some children; I would cut the dose in half

and see what happens.  Dr. JM

Hi Lidia,

I was wondering if you could tell me a little more about Carnitor? My son just

had a muscle biopsy to test for mito. We did a lot of bloodwork which always

came back showing mito issues, but was not clear or conclusive. We had done

several Acyl Carnitine blood profiles that came back showing disorder in that

system. I am expecting if they find mito issues in the muscle, that he will most

likely be put on Carnitor. Please feel free to write me off list at

lauc174@.... I am interested in any experience in this area.
