Once you read it, you will understand why I sent to to all of you! rita ************************************* Some people succeed in spite of their handicap. Others succeed because of them. Dear Rita, A friend of mine sent this to me ... I really cleaned it up as it was very difficult to read but it is a beautiful story! I'm going to print it and hang it on the wall by my computer. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Love, P.S. I'm sure glad we're friends! ) FAMILY I ran into a stranger as he passed by, " Oh, excuse me Please " was my reply. He said, " Please excuse me too; Wasn't even watching for you. " We were very polite, this stranger and I. We went on our way, we said good-bye. But at home a different story is told, How we treat our loved ones, young and old. Later that day, cooking the evening meal, my son stood beside me very still. When I turned, I nearly knocked him down. " Move out of the way, " I said with a frown. He walked away, his little heart was broken. I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken. While I lay awake that night in bed, God's still voice came to me and said, " While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the ones you love, you seem to abuse. Go look down on your kitchen floor, you'll find some flowers there by the door. Those are the flowers he brought for you. He picked them himself, pink, yellow and blue. He stood quietly not to spoil the surprise, and you never saw the tears in his eyes. " By this time I felt very small, and now my tears began to fall. I quietly went and knelt by his bed; " Wake up, little boy, wake up, " I said " Are these the flowers you picked for me? " He smiled and said, " I found 'em, out by the tree. I picked them because they're pretty like you. I knew you'd like'em, especially the blue. " I said, " I'm sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn't have yelled at you that way. " He said, " Oh, Mom, that's okay, cause I sure love you anyway. " I said, " I love you too, and I do like the flowers, especially the blue. " Are you aware that: If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. It is unwise for one to pour so much of themself into their work. Do you know what the full word of family means? FAMILY =(F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER, (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU It is worthwhile to share more time with your family of relatives and friends. You must take the time to let them know how important they are to you - even in our busy lives. The family and the friends in your life are truly your most treasured gifts - don't forget to let them know that, don't forget to thank God.
