Guest guest
, It does take awhile for their internal thermometers to adjust. You get used to the different types of red marks. na has "stork bites", for lack of a better word, on the back of her head and forehead. When she is warm they become much more pronounced and are very pink. It took a little getting used to these and the pressure points. It sounds like has very fair and delicate skin and everything leaves a mark. If they aren't fading in an hour you should bring it up with your ortho. Our ortho told us the most likely places for red marks (holding points). She also told us if we saw them anywhere else we needed to let her know because that would be a the sign of growth or a poor fit. HTH & na Doc 1 10/27 - 11/26 Doc 2 12/10 Red Marks Ok, I'm a little confused about red marks. I know that before helmet, if would barely bump her cheek against my finger, she would get a red mark. Of course it would fade after awhile. I know that baby skin is very delicate. The orthotist told us that each time we take her helmet off, we should be doing spot checks. After the hour, the red mark(s) should have faded, not necessarily gone away. If the spots haven't faded we are to keep the helmet off until it does fade some. Does it not take a little while for their skin to get used to the helmet and the heat that it causes?I would appreciate any comments. and , local helmet 12/10/03For more plagio info

Guest guest
Hi , Is you daughters helmet active or passive? The reason I am asking is because you shouldn't be getting red spots with a passive helmet really. A light one (like said) that goes away quickly is ok, but if it stays over an hour or is dark red, keep off and see the orthotist. At least that is what I was told with my daughters helmet. She also had a local helmet. Regarding the heat that is causes. Your baby will adjust to that. Just to make it more comfortable for her, take the helmet of once in a while and wipe her little head down. /Makenna LLUMC helmet grad. > Ok, I'm a little confused about red marks.
