New Band...Red spots???

Hello,

My 5 month old son was just fitted with his band this past Saturday.

Everything went well.

The doctor told us about the 'red spots' and that they should go away

within an hour after we take the band off each day for an hour.

However, tonight he had several red spots, one on his forehead, and

they did not go away after an hour. Therefore, I left the band off.

Does this mean that I have to go back for an adjustment or are these

typical problems.

Any advice is welcome!

Thanks,

JA

Hi,

Yes, it means the band should stay off until an adjustment is made.

It's very common in the beginning of treatment to need an adjustment

or 2. Welcome to the group. Please keep us posted on your son's

progress.

If the redspots didn't find after an hour then an adjustment probably needs to be made. Many bands need to have adjustments made at the beginning to get just the right fit.

Hi and welcome to the group. It does sound like he needs an

adjustment so you should leave the band off. It's very common to

need a couple adjustments in the beginning to get that perfect fit.

Let us know what happens.
