Guest guest
Hi Rick, Im actually going to see a neurosurgeon this Wednesday AM at Boston Children's Hospital. His name is Dr. . I don't really know much about him except he is part of my insurance provider, Harvard Pilgram. Also, he is pro-helmet. I did speak to his receptionist/nurse. She said they have a great deal of experience with plagio babies. I will post my experience on Thursday. Guest guest
I would very much like to hear from you after your appointment. We use Tufts but I am sure we will end up running into the same specialists. Thank you for your quick response > > Just in the beginning stages of this process and we are not even > sure > > if our 4 month old son Emmett has Plagio but it looks as though he > > has Brachycephaly. Guest guest
Hi Rick I am from Western, MA and I contacted Dr. Mark Proctor at Children's Hospital when we began this process (6 mo. old scaphocephaly, DOCBand 1/04). He quickly responded to my emails. I got his email off the children's web site and searched under craniofacial. We didn't end up using Children's. Our insurance ended up only covering Yale/New Haven and we go to the Cranial Technologies clinic in Clinton, CT. I was impressed by Dr. Proctor and how quickly he responded to my emails when we were not even patients. Good Luck- We have had a wonderful experience with the CT clinic in Conn, if you end up going that route. and Ellen (6 mo.)
