Hi Lynn,

The only way to get off any of these drugs is by making very tiny cuts. You would reduce the Ativan by no more than 5%, then wait until you feel stable before cutting again. Perhaps 2-3 weeks, but your body should be your guide.

If I remember, the Ativan pills are pretty small, so you might need to go a liquid titration. There are instructions for that in the Files section of our group homepage.

The Files also contain suggestions for things you can do to be a little more comfortable while withdrawing but insomnia has been a fact of life for many of us here. I am sleeping better than I was at first. There is hope.
