Hello,

I joined this group today. I belong to another MS related group, but feel it is too much about homeopathics and not about supporting each other through the good & bad. So, I am giving this group a try.

Short introduction: I live near San Francisco and work for a software company. I was diagnosed two years ago but can trace symptoms back 10 years. I have two cousins who also have been diagnosed with MS. And, I am certain my older brother has it. But, it has been difficult to get a conclusive diagnosis for him. I am currently on daily injections of Copaxone and also taking neurontin 3 times a day. My most noticeable symptoms are weak hands and legs, balance issues, cramping in the feet and burning sensation (like sunburn) in the calves. I also get sore knees on and off. I go to the gym regularly and have been taking a tai chi class about a year now. My personal web site is at https://home.comcast.net/~utzdana/

Look forward to reading your posts.

Hello Dana-

It's good to meet you! You definitely came to the right place. Yes, there's some talk about homeopathics and such, but there is a lot more as well.

First of all, let me introduce myself, if I haven't already. My name is Valene (Val), and I was dx'd 20+ years ago. Of course, recently I was told that it may not be MS at all. It may be something else. Won't know for sure until the results are in. I live in NC. I'm a mother of 4, and a grand mommy to 9.

You have come to the right place for support. To both give and receive. As you get to know all of us, you'll see that we are a lot like an extended family. I love it here.

Welcome aboard! Hope to hear from you often. Blessed be...
