Guest guest
I started radiation treatments on October 12. After the fifth treatment I started to experience side effects. By the seventh treatment I was uncomfortable due to urgency, frequency, and flatulence. My doctor immediately prescribed high dosages of ibuprofen (600 mg), flomax, and citrucel. Within an hour after taking the ibuprofen I could feel a difference. Obviously, the symptoms were being caused by inflammation. A day later things were back to normal. I hope to ease off the flomax after the flomax kicks in. The citrucel is for the flatulence. I am taking it in small doses as needed. Thought this might be helpful to others receiving radiation treatments.
