There is an account set up for Grace Fellowship and all searches using Goodsearch (which uses Yahoo's search engine) will result in about one cent being donated to Grace Fellowship. Not much, but it can become significant if we and others we tell consistently use Goodsearch for all our searches. For example, 100 people using Goodsearch for two searches a day will net us $730.00 a year. When you go to the site just type in Grace Fellowship Orthodox Presbyterian Church as the benefactor. This is right below the search bar. You can also change the benefactor with each search and help other non-profits of your choice (if they have an account). Guest guest
Afternoon, Cassy~ Thanks for asking..It is not much better, in fact I think it may be a bit worse. Hard to say, or know what it is, but I know what ya mean about the ice pick thingy--it's not like that though. It is an intense pressure and when I move it it feels like it's being squeezed real, real hard. So, I'm thinking glaucoma-or medication induced type glaucoma, or ON..or plain old eye strain, but it feels too bad to be just that I think, so I have a 2:15 appt. this afternoon with my opthamologist-I will see the one in the practice that saw me late Oct/Nov. when I had the ON last, and called my neuro, who in turn put me on home IV solumedrol. I don't wish for that this time round! But hope there is something they can do to relieve me of this! hugs to you, sweetie, kate Re: Kate -- An opportunity & huge decision> To: MSersLife > > > ROFL Nuts. That cracks me up for some reason. Guest guest
Thanks, Cassy! Add to this mix--I think -no, I KNOW I'm perimenopausal--haven't quite hit menopause, but i'm rapidly approaching it! One minute I'm crying my eyes out, the next, I feel like I'm bouncing off the ceiling, the next screaming at the top of my lungs--it surely feels like manic depression or something. I do NOT know how women get through this stage of life. AND how do you get through it with kids of all ages around you, pushing your buttons that are already hot-flashing as it is!! I need some good , sound advice from some ladies out there who have gotten through this! How long does this mood swing thing last for? It is awful! My mom and dad are in assisted living, mom 82, dad will be 84 in May. I miss them, I surely do. Guest guest
Kate, I've been through the pause...get some wild yam cream, put some on your throat every evening. Also there are phyto-estrogen caps you can get, I got 'em at wally-world. They all helped. There were a couple of other things I did that helped, have to remember them, I'll letcha know later (when I remember what they were ROFL) I had Robbin at 43, squeaked him out and slammed the door after him...I'm 52 now and over it all. I went through the pause that refreshes at 48-49. Thanks for your consideration and God bless. Attachment: vcard [not shown]
Guest guest
A lot of the ladies in the breast cancer group eat popsicles when they have hot flashes and swer by them. Please be careful with estrogen. breast cancer feeds on estrogen so if you have any history of cancer in your family or any type of breast problems please be careful. Guest guest
Thanks Akiba, Thanks nne~Akiba, I do have the wild yam cream already, and yes have used it, but inconsistently. Popsicles sound like a great idea, nne, and I can make them myself with all sorts of juices, or pureed fruit, like strawberries-yum. I have been warned about tofu, in terms of its hormone/estrogen effects. There is no breast cancer in the family, however, every aunt or uncle on both mom and dad's side, have passed from some form of cancer--Mom's dad, throat, her brother, my fav. Uncle Joe-died at 47! (that's how old I am !)from lung CA, my mom has recently been dx'd with lung ca, my dad's sister, from i forget either cervical or uterine-it was like 1961, so i was only 2. his brother passed from skin ca that metzd to liver...so~yup, i have to watch it. Just had a good, clear mammo. I like they tell you now, right away, no waiting like we used to. I am years behind a pap however...another appt to make! hey...i feel kinda 'too-pid'-is Wally World-another name for Walmart? I have read it countless times and have wondered...major duh-hay! enjoy your day all, kate Re: Kate -- An opportunity & huge decisionTo: MSersLife > A lot of the ladies in the breast cancer group eat popsicles > when they have hot flashes and swer by them. Guest guest
{{{{{{{{Kate}}}}}}}} I'd send you Calgon, but that stuff just doesn't come in a strong enough formula, does it? <g> Have you considered bunji cords and duck tape for the kids? lol I shouldn't say that. It used to be a joke. Started with my Mom and I and then just grew over the years. Baby-sitting or taking care of my own, I might joke that I had closets, bunjis and duck tape. Until one day I met a woman who said she truly did duck tape her children together, by wrists and ankles, when they fought or annoyed her. I stopped joking about it. Guest guest
There are some for dry eyes. One brand is Tears Naturel, or something like that. I have had problems with severely dry eyes where tiny pieces of my cornea fell off. I had to use a prescription eye drop for awhile but then switched to the Tears Naturel. My ophthalmologist said not to use Visine or Murine. Sharon Re: Kate -- An opportunity & huge decision > > To: MSersLife@yahoogrou ps.com > > > > > ROFL Nuts. That cracks me up for some reason.
