Guest guest
Folks. I tried the flush after being on an apple juice fast for three days, and a lemon juice fast before that. I started getting numbness and heart palpitations. An anxiety attack ensued and I went straight to the ER. My potassium level was very low. They started an IV drip of KCl and brought the level up to 4.3, simultaneously the numbness disappeared, and the palpitations stopped. I didn't want to get a lecture so I didn't elaborate as to what may have caused the potassium depletion. I would caution anyone following this regimen to watch your minerals and electrolites. Their depletion may be causing some of the problems of the folks I've read on this forum. Hope this helps. Rick

Personally, I don't think fasting is a good thing for more that a 24 hour period - and if you do fast for longer, you should really be taking plenty of water and supplements. Many vitamins don't hang around in the body so after 24 hours a lot of nutrients are depleted. It's a question of common sense. Potassium and Magnesium levels in the body need to be balanced and it is a very fine balance for good health. Fasting on just fruit or fruit juice is not enough for most people - especially if you are carrying on with your normal day to day living. Plus, the Epsom salts purge your body of practically everything when you do your flush, so if levels were low before the flush, they're bound to be way out afterwards. I have done 4 flushes now...the first was brilliant...second not so good...third was a disaster - but that was my own fault - and the most recent saw about 15 stones at least 1/2 to 1 inch across. I have never fasted for more than 24 hours before a flush and even then, I have continued with fluids until 2pm of the day of the actual flush. I am pretty pleased with my results to date. There is no miracle here...fasting for longer, increasing amounts of oil etc will not make you lose more stones. If the stones are ready to move, they will move with the aid of the flush. The stones have a way to travel from the liver to the stomach, so you can't expect to shift them all at once. The more flushes you do, the better you will gradually start to feel. But you also need to be careful with your diet in-between times, or you're just undoing the good the flush has done. Drink plenty of water throughout the day and eat wisely and healthily...:) Take care Dax
Guest guest
Hi Dax, I would agree with your post, and add, that in my case( exclusive to women maybe?), I've noticed now, after doing the cleanse (twice to date), I've had an itchiness-similar to a yeast infection for several days afterwards. I'm thinking that the cleanse does create a temporary imbalance in healthy bacteria levels in the digestive system, or, the toxins exiting the body are irritating to the sensitive skin in that area. I'm thinking about taking some acidophilous, the afternoon after the flush to see if that helps. I wonder if anyone else has had this happen, or if anyone has a better suggestion as to what to do about it. It really hasn't been severe, just something I've noticed.
