Hi Fuller,

I don't think you need to apologize. I don't see any of those

who are promoting the Da Vinci procedure apologizing.

There are several other lists that many of you may not be

aware of. I learn a bit from all of them. Peress

publishes a list every Friday of some of the other lists.

Here is part of her weekly list:

Most recent update: 9/12/2007Please note: These are simply pointers to Internet-based PCa resources, and should not be regarded as any sort of recommendation or endorsement. Hey Aubrey,

Hope you are doing ok in your new location. Looks like you are

already having some cold; still 88+ here.

I wasn't apologizing for my chosen treatment (avoiding the P word

here); rather for " stirring up " what was obviously becoming a non-

useful back-and-forth diatribe.

Some here seem to denigrate anything that they have never heard of

from their doctors or the ACS. Of course all doctors are truthful and

tell you everything you need to know????

Best,

Fuller

HI Fuller,

Rub it in- 88 degrees- I sure do miss southern California.

As for the lists, seems that there are some on every list

who just love to stir it up. But this is a great list- a lot

better than some of the others. I think is doing a

good job.

Your statement about doctors being truthful and telling

you every thing you want to know has got to be an

understatement, right???

Aubrey, I am now at home in Florida, near the space center. We just

had a good thunderstorm, and I believe the weather break is finally

here, it is about 70, and hopefully cooler in the daytime tomorrow,

we have NOT had a noontime temp of less than 85 deg for months, and

the humidity is stifling.

I'll bet that Loma weather is great now, as a matter of fact, I

just checked, it is high 81, low 56. Boy how good that would feel!

I really miss the enriching experience that I had during my proton

treatment at LLUMC, it was a true " Radiation Vacation! "

As for the mainstream urologists, I would be willing to bet that just

about every regular on this list actually knows more about the

various treatments for PCa than they do! They are each so " stuck " in

whatever specialty that they practice, they just rattle off the other

options as " less desirable " alternatives, and conveniently leave out

protons. That is what happened to me six times!

As for that " word " that I can now say, I think that within the next

five years or so, when a doc does NOT tell a patient about protons,

the patient will probably take him or her to task about it! Time will

tell--

Best,

Fuller

To Moderators and all,

I sent a long answer to a post from Laurel to the list. It

was supposed to be personal. I hit the send button in

error.

I apologize for sending the personal message that had

nothing to do with our disease.

I promise to be more careful in the future.

Aubrey
