Re:I'am back after Dec 11th surgery

Ted - we're glad you're home. Now is the time, as many of us have learned, when the old saying "patience is a virtue" comes home. Return to some sense of normalcy likely won't happen as quickly as you would like, but patience and perseverance will get you thru. I recently have adopted a phrase coined by the son of Zig Ziglar - world renowned motivational speaker - who recently fell down a flight of stairs in his home and his injuries have significantly limited his speaking itineray and format. Zig's son suggested his dad write a book about his recovery and efforts to get back to work - the book's title will be the phrase suggested by the son's advice to "embrace the struggle". That's where many of us are in our post-op recovery - learning to be patient and to "embrace the struggle". Actually, when I think about it, I think we all could adopt this motto, regardless of chosen treatment or watchful waiting.
