<<I was on Wellbutrin for 4 weeks and had to get off because I broke

out in hives. I am no longer on anything because after taking

Wellbutrin I began to suffer from anxiety attacks. Has this happened

to anyone and if so, has the anxiety attacks gone away? I figure I'm

just going though withdrawals from stopping the Wellbutrin. I read

somewhere that it takes about 2 weeks and so I'm hoping to return to

my normal state, which was some mild depression, which I went in and

out of and therefore can handle rather than taking these mind altering

drugs with all these side affects.>>

Hi ,

I made this into its own thread so people could see you started a new

topic. Now I think you'll get some responses.

This happens to a lot of people, and yes, the anxiety attacks do go

away. It may take longer than two weeks, but if you treat your body

with care, it will recover.

Read Eating for Recovery and the Basic Healing Protocol (sent when you

joined, also in the Files), and get started with diet and supplements

that will support your body's efforts to heal.

Following these things will also help you heal from your original depression.

I'm sure some of our members will ahve more to add.

Hi , I think Kim pretty much summed it up, but in case you need more reassurance, yes, it's very typical to experience feelings of anxiety during withdrawal/recovery. Two weeks is a very optimistic amount of time......but it depends on your own situation and how your body reacts. Have a look at the group's files, in which you'll find various suggestions for dealing with anxiety. I'm glad you realized that the drugs were harming you. Hang in there - it will get easier.
