Conor began taking zoloft in August and I have seen some totally amazing behavior with him also. It is like his brain has just been unleashed. It is all typical Asperger behavior (obsessive with numbers, carries around bingo cards everywhere we go, corrects me when I read to him) but he is interested and I'll take it none the less. I'm glad the TMG seems to be working well for ...maybe you can avoid the antidepressant route. Incredible. > Yeah, Pam -- the needlepoint is almost an acceptable sacrifice!!! It really is since beginning the TMG that this has happened. I mean, it's hard to see, because since beginning the TMG, he has been a CREEP...but it seems that is definitely having a positive effect nonetheless! I'm no expert except by the grace of being an autie mom, but it seems to me that the supplement is opening up some kind of perception that was blocked before. And that is manifesting most obviously in the nasty attitude and squirrely behaviour. I put that down to the fact that all these new perceptions must be TOTALLY overwhelming and confusing. I think this must have something to do with the antidepressant component of TMG, because we did DMG and got NOTHING like this. I've been toying with the idea of asking for antidepressants for him for a while, but was putting it off because I anticipated getting a hard time from our family doctor ( has no neuro doc). I just wasn't up for the crusade. He was already developing at a pretty pleasing rate; I couldn't imagine my GP handing over prozac or zoloft just on my say-so. Doctors seem so quick to just let things lie as they are. When I ordered this stuff, I really didn't expect expect any results -- but I'm glad I was VISA-happy that day! Couldn't have given us all a better Christmas present...even if he DOES act the creep while making such amazing strides! Now that I've given more of an answer than you'dever have asked for, I'll just sign myself happy-wacky-jacquie!
Guest guest
That's utterly amazing, Jacquie. Now to convince dh to try the TMG on Jake. We gave up on the DMG a while ago. Janae , 9, ADD Jake, 6, autism
