Yes, thank you, !

(He won't read it, it has to have the words for

male appendages or hockey in the subject line)

BTW, how did he come by this tape, I never got

the story.

He had made his own copy from HBO and had offered to make a copy for someone

on the list (Kerri, Kandie?? I don't remember). Anyhow, he hadn't gotten

around to doing it and asked if someone on the list would be willing and I

said " sure " . Then, he decided to purchase a copy for the " group " , instead

of just copying, which really is much more ethical.

And that's how it came to be....Any other questions, will have to

answer

Penny :-)

Barb:

How brilliant you are! I never thought of hockey in the subject line.

Thanks for the idea as it is so nice to have a respectable way to contact

.

Well, Penny, I have at least three and possibly four reading children and

every so often I do wonder what they think of their mother's support groups

when penis and poop figure so greatly in the messages. Remember BJ's

experience...

Oh, and when you say you will use " hockey " from now on, do you mean you will

begin to refer to a penis as a hockey? That sounds amusing.

yeah, kailey was laughing herself silly earlier reading out loud all the poop

strewn subject lines :)

LOL Salli -

Since I have a child who reads too, I agree with you about using a more, um,

general term in the subject line....

I think I will just refer to Hockey as Hockey, because I think that is

sacred to .

Please...don't.......stop....

I heard about the movie on another list, in a galaxy far, far away.

Then I got DSS and had HBO free for a month...which just

happened to be the month that they were playing . I taped

it...and was awestruck by the movie. I raved about it, and offered

to send a copy to Amy H (???...all these Amy's...) who even sent

me a padded SASE. Jeeze I'm lame...

So Penny the Philanthropist offered to send copies to anyone

who wanted one...and I contacted the film maker to find out why

their movie cost $150 and if they actually made money from it.

The response I got back was that it's so expensive because 1)

they distribute it themselves and 2) because it has such limited

distribution, mostly to institutions. Since PA is, in my opinion, an

institution, I figured a group copy was a nice ethical compromise

between people being unable to afford a $150 VHS tape and

blatant piracy of a brilliant film by a very small, independent

company (Corra Films).

Cheers,
