Guest guest
I am really not convinced T3 IS harder on the adrenals. It si just WAY too easy to go up too fast wiht ti compared to Armour. With Armoru people think ONE grain a a huge raiswe, but that is only 9mcg T3. So yes I think you will be fine to try T3. Just keep it slow raises but with T3 at least there is no wait for it to build so you can do raises as fast as your adnreals tolerate them. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Hi Jung ~ I use Isocort (Stage 5 adrenal fatigue) and handled Ti Tre just fine. It sounds as if your adrenals are well supported to start. Expect your temps to drop for a day or two with each increase. If they don't steady, then the increase was too much and you should back off to your last dose that was comfortable for the adrenals. Are you currently on Armour? Have you determined a starting dose for TiTre? take care, ~ Can I Handle T3 on Isocort? I've been reading that T3 is harder on the adrenals than Armour. Is this true? I've got my first batch of Ti-Tre, and although I want to start it, I'm a bit nervous as well. I prefer natural supplements over synthetics, which is why I'm taking Isocort rather than HC. I take 16 pellets a day (8 morning/5 at 11 AM/3 at 3 PM), which makes me feel pretty good. I actually feel better on Isocort than the equivalent amount of HC. On this dose, my daily temps are stable and my BP rises upon standing. Doesn't this mean that my adrenals are supported enough to handle T3? My cortisol levels diagnosed me at Level 6 adrenal fatigue, and I've read from so many people that at that stage, Isocort simply isn't strong enough. But if my temps are stable and my BP rises, doesn't that mean that my current dose IS strong enough? And therefore I should be able to handle T3? -Jung
Guest guest
Hi , I tried Armour for the past year but am now trying T3 after learning about high RT3. I had no problem raising Armour 1/4 grain per week, but as I got to 2.5 grains I would start getting bad symptoms, which was probably due to RT3. The Ti Tre I got is in 20mg pills, so I'm going to split them in half and raise by 10mg. How did you start? And what kind of dose are you on now? -Jung > > Hi Jung ~ > > I use Isocort (Stage 5 adrenal fatigue) and handled Ti Tre just fine. It > sounds as if your adrenals are well supported to start. Guest guest
Somehwere I got the idea that the max daily dose of Isocort was 8 pellets. Because of the echinacea, in it. Does Isocort have other herbs besides echinacea? Am I wrong in thinking 8 pellets is supposed to be the upper limit for ISO? Are there any adverse consequences of too much echinacea when taking 16 pellets of Isocort daily longterm? thanks, sol i_am_magico wrote: > I'm taking > Isocort rather than HC. Guest guest
I would thnk that much echinacea would nto be good for anyone, especially as it is in the ragweed family. but if not causing any problems... It may be an individual thiing but 8 pellets is the maximum recommended dose. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Hi Sol ~ I thought the 8 pellet/day max dose from the manufacturer was to limit the amount of cortisol to 20mg/day. I never considered there could be a thing as too much echinacea. I've taken MediHerb's echinacea for years, sometimes up to 3/day, and those pills are huge. http://www.mediherb.com/?page=site/products & ps_session=07b10e4a1e04a1b78690e af375567861 Isocort contains Freeze Dried Adrenal Cortex, Echinacea Extract, Prunnus sp. and Lomatium Dissectum Root. " Directions: Take 1-2 pellets, 3-4 times daily, never more than 8 pellets daily, or according to your health care practitioner. " take care, ~ -----Original Message----- Somehwere I got the idea that the max daily dose of Isocort was 8 pellets. Because of the echinacea, in it. Does Isocort have other herbs besides echinacea? Guest guest
I love MediHerb! I've used their Withania Complex and am currently using LivCo to detox my liver. I've heard about this " too much echinacea " thing so many times, but each time I hear again I freak myself out and start wondering if I need to start HC again. http://www.herbquarterly.com/issue104page45.html I really don't think we need to worry too much about it. I really feel like all the other hormones in Isocort together do more for me than just HC alone. > > Hi Sol ~ > > I thought the 8 pellet/day max dose from the manufacturer was to limit the > amount of cortisol to 20mg/day. Guest guest
This is interesting. When it comes to Armour, the popular ramp-up schedule is 1/2 grain every 2 weeks (1/4 grain every week). As you said, that's 2.25 mcg T3, but it also has the T4. However, when it comes to T3, the popular ramp-up schedule seems to be 12.5mcg every 5-7 days. Why are these ramp-up schedules different? Is it because... even though Armour has little T3, you also have to take into account the T4 it adds to your body? And since T3 is just T3, it's okay to ramp it up that fast? I've had so many disappointments trying to ramp up too fast, so I really want to get it right this time. Is it best to raise 12.5mcg every 5-7 days, or even slower, like 2.25mcg every 5-7 days? Anybody have input? -Jung > > I had no problem raising Armour 1/4 grain per week, but as I got to > > 2.5 grains I would start getting bad symptoms, which was probably due > > to RT3. > > > > The Ti Tre I got is in 20mg pills, so I'm going to split them in half > > and raise by 10mg. > > > I hope you mean the Ti Tre is mcg, not mg! Guest guest
That's what I figured. , from what you've seen, most people with weak adrenals who need Isocort/HC are able to handle 12.5mcg raises every 5-7 days, right? And perhaps a small minority with really weak adrenals need to go even slower, but most of us can go that fast? > > T4 you must wait for it to build.
