Guest guest
I haven't had a chance to get near the computer since Friday and now I'm back to 600 behind!!! So forgive me if I haven't been posting as much as I usually do, or used to in general. today I had a 7 hour seminar by Carol Gray on Social Stories, so we're going to see if we can use them on any of the issues we've been experiencing at home lately...like biting (ouch!), being mean to the dog, not wanting to go to school, etc.. Anyway, one bit of really good news, although it's not settled yet: The District Director of Spec. Ed. is concidering letting me use our private speech therapist as the speech person evaluating if I reopen his IEP!!! Also, we have a new district consultant who is in agreement with the Spec. Ed. Supervisor about doing this and getting certified!! I don't know how soon any of this will happen, but it sure sounds a lot better then the garbage we went through in the past. So cross your fingers for us, and we'll see what comes to pass... Sue
Guest guest
Sue, Iam so glad that things seem to be working out at the school. I am way behind too, but I just had to delete about 300 e-mails. I know I won't have time to read them. Oh well, sigh....
