Guest guest Posted July 10, 1998 Report Share Posted July 10, 1998 Don, I can answer the question about pneumovax and aspiration pneumonia and that is the vacine will not help aspiration pneumonia. In aspiration pneumonia the irritant is the aspirate and it is often noninfectious entirely where pneumonia is Strep pneumonae a gram positive cocci. If aspiration pneumonia leads to a bacterial infection then the bug can be just about anything.
