I am ok. I threw up on myself today but that I guess was a low.LOL I

am tired but much better than before. This pregnancy is killing me!

Jeff told me he would divorce me if I decided to have another baby.

He hates me being sick. Alec is having so many panic attacks I can't

stand it! Something has to be done to help him. He also seems to be

losing pigment in his face and a rash of small bumps are appearing

all over his body. He also has blood vessels on his face that are

showing, along with his being so sick lately I am very worried about

him. Oh, and Jeff decided he would put a 3 foot hole ion my bathroom

wall to make me a place to put towels but has yet to clean it up!

I have to say that both pregnacies before this were bad. Now I

usually wait until month 5 to be admitted to the hospital so this

baby is just a few months ahead of the game. Greggory was more

difficult than Alec when it came to pregnancy but Greggory was a much

easier baby than Alec by far! I figure if the same thing holds true

than this baby should be an angel! LOL

Jacquie, glad to here you are feeling better. I haven't seen your posts in

a while and was thinking about asking what was happening. What does the dr

say about Alec? Can't they figure out what is wrong?

Hi Salli,

just started on Risperdal..on 12/20...he gets .5

ml..I think the neuro said that's equal to 1/5

teaspoon..he is slighty less *hyper*..he'd been

really bad..jumping off the furniture, etc..and not

focusing in school.

Since he started on it only two days before school let

out for the holiday vacation..I don't know yet how it

will effect him there..we'll find out when he goes

back on Wednesday.

He is 4'1 " tall and weight 52 lbs. The doctor said he

will probably increase the dosage but wanted to start

him off on the smallest amount possible.

Mimi:

Enrique started it on 12/26 after balking for weeks. He had taken it for a

couple of days once and it made him sleepy so he decided never again. On

Christmas Day he had a series of tantrums that allowed me to persuade him to

try it. I have high hopes but I have had high hopes before.

He weighs 180 pounds; he is now on 1 mg. a day and I was trying to get a

sense of how much kids take for their weight. He is supposed to keep

increasing his dosage for a few weeks.

He has had NO side effects this go-round. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I hope it helps him.

Now will open his mouth and I'll give it to him,

but he isn't happy about it. It has not made

sleepy at all. He hasn't had any bad side effects,

though. We go back in a couple weeks, and I think the

doctor will probably increase the dosage a little.

Does Enrique feel it is helping him at all?

That's hard for the guys. always got sick when I did and he

gained weight with me too.

I don't like the sound of any of this. This is very odd and not a

good thing at all from the sounds of it. So when can you get him in

to be seen? The panic attacks are bad enough but health stuff on top

is even harder.

Oh, and Jeff decided he would put a 3 foot hole ion my bathroom

Oh goody. Hang in there. HOpefully things will settle down for you

and you will feel better.

Jacquie,

With all this going on, you're OK? Wow! It does sound like Alec has

something going on. Has he seen the Dr. since this has started? I hope

everything is ok....with all of you!

We have to go see a neurologist and have some genetic testing done.

He may have a genetic disorder as well. My poor Alec. I hate all of

this but I really want to find out what is going on with him.

Alec is constantly wired, or at least it feels that way. He seems to

need hardly any sleep but as I say that he slept until 10:30 am

today. He is unpredictible and so very hard to medicate. We dont want

to give him any more risperdal because of the weight gain. He was on

topamax but he seemed to have more panic attacks and other than that

did nothing!

Thanks for all the good thoughts. Jeff has been a true pain but

that is to be expected he always is when things dont run smoothly!

Jeff hates it when I am sick because everything falls apart as I am

the one who holds this crazy family together. He also gains weight

and cant stand it! LOL

I am very worried about Alec. He just seems to get worse and not

a bit better. He isnt sick right now for the first time in months but

he did just throw up for no aparant reason the other day. He is going

to have some genetic testing done and going back to the neurologist.

I hope they can figure out how to help my poor baby.

Alec has been seeing his psych and regular dr since before this

started but it just seems to keep getting bigger. We are going to

have some genetic testing done and see the neuro. I hope this gets

solved soon.

Salli: Ebony takes 1 mg a day and she weighs around fifty pounds. Hope

that helps....I would think he would need quite a bit more to see much

effect.
