Guest guest
I can totally understand the lack of sleep issue. I haven't slept through a full night in over 7 years! Seriously!! I get so exhausted that some days, I can't even think straight, can't even think at all for that matter!! I understand that you need to get some time to rest, time to have to yourself. You mentioned that you don't have respite. Is that because respite isn't available in your area or that you haven't had the chance to apply for it? I do have respite but it is by my neighbor who has a schedule almost as hectic as mine so respite comes few and far between. A couple suggestions and I don't know if they are available in the area for you... If there is a college nearby, you could look into hiring one of the students to watch your children once a week or so. I know sitters are expensive but perhaps it can be an option somehow. If there is a college maybe a student would do it for free if somehow he/she could get credits for it (i.e. as an internship of sorts). For the sleep issues... Is there a hospital in the area that may do sleep research or have a sleep clinic. Maybe they could give you some advice. Please don't do anything drastic, though we are connected only on the computer, we are all here to support you.
