The expense is the toppings, the crust costs pennies, don't focus on that,

those pennys aren't worth the pounds!!! Annie

I am off to work myself, and already running late... I must confess I cheated

on Atkins WOE last night. My reasoning was not good enough but I did it

anyway.

There is something about going eight months without Pizza, sorry crew but I

enjoyed it immensely and now I am out of ketosis and two pounds heavier.

Those two pounds which I had to fat fast to get rid of!!!

Oh well such is life I'm back on track now.

Kirstie great to see you up and posting so early!! I just changed my routine

last week. I get up every morning at 5:30 am now. I need to now teach myself

to get my butt out the door first thing LOL... Always in training aren't we?

I would love to write a long e-mail and distract you, but I would

be late getting to work. It sounds like you and Kim should get

together. Actually, can I join the two of you, we all have about

the same desire to get our work done. LOL

ahhhh... it was the melon at 3am that confused me.

Once I get used to it, I'm pretty much a morning person too.

Although I much prefer waking up on my own (usually 6:30-7ish) than

having the alarm rudely do the job.

I bet those 2 pounds is just waterweight from the glucose being

stored - you would have had to eat one great big mountain of pizza to

gain 2 pounds of fat. Drink extra water today and help flush it all

out.

I eat the tops off of pizzas sometimes but haven't had the crust

yet. It does seem wasteful and expensive to just eat the tops

though - you need a big pile of tops to fill you up! I've only evre

done it in social settings, never at home (we do make meatza pizza).

The only trick to getting out the door fast is not letting yourself

sit down. Although I did forget some papers this morning following

that tactic because I'd left them on my chair where I'd surely see

them when I sat down.. doh! My night-time brain and morning brain

don't coordinate very well ;)

I'm a morning person too, but NOT by preference! I wake up at 4:30,

get up at 4:45, leave the house at 5:00 to get to the gym when it

opens at 5:30. Before you're overly impressed, I usually on ride the

bike for 20-30 mins and do a yoga class 2/wk. This morning I was

really good, 40 mins on the bike and then 30 min muscle works class

(I can barely move my poor arms!). This puts me at my desk at 7:00

(OK, 7:40 on class days, LOL) I leave here at 4:00, pick up the kids

by 5:00, and go to bed at 9:00, then do it all again the next day.

I'm basically exausted all the time, but I do avoid traffic, so it

does pay off.

PS - I did soooo good for over a week, then starting hitting the

chocolate sitting out down the hall day before yesterday - 6 pieces!

So yesterday, when it started calling my name, I walked over to the

Galleria to GNC and bought 4 bars in different flavors & brands. The

new Atkins chocolate was OK, I still like the praline crunch the

best. But I figured that even if I overate on bars, it was better

than candy, but then I ate the candy anyway, 4 peices. Then this AM

I bought some grab bags at part of the United Way campaign, and I

went down the hall to the candy bowl to dump in the candy, and, sure

nuf, at a piece of chocolate while I was at it. Aurggggggghhhhhh,

it's so hard to resist. I've been taking my glatamine, maybe it's

helping some. Somebody kick me please - actually the good stuff will

be gone today probably, maybe that will help!
