Guest guest
Hi and welcome to the group. My daughter was banded at 4.5 months. She is in her second DOC band and has seen excellent correction. She was moderate. The research shows that the gentle pressures of the DOC band do not cause any problems with the developing brain or growing head. mom to na DOC #1 10-27 to 11-26 DOC #2 12-10 @ 6 months South Carolina new, getting DOC Band, does it really work and is it safe? Hello, I just joined the list. My baby is 5 1/2 months old and will be fitted next week for a DOC band after two months of repositioning with little change. She has flattening, bossing, and slight ear misalignment. The neuro called it mild and said to keep repositioning for three months; the nurse practitioner called it moderate. After much agonizing, we decided to go for the DOC band rather than wait and hope. I am concerned about potential non-cosmetic effects of plagio.Did the DOC Band work for you? Any concerns about safety due to pressure on head? I know it has been shown not to affect growth.Thank you, thank you, thank you for your help. For more plagio info

Guest guest
Hi there, My son Aidan has been in the DOC band for 3 1/2 months now. We have seen incredible change. His facial asymmetry is almost completely gone, and he is within the range of normal now. The DOC band is very safe, it does not really put tight pressure on the child's head. I honestly thought that it would be tight and pushing on Aidan's head - but it is actually quite loose. You will find it is much looser than what you are thinking of. And always remember, it is like a piece of clothing. If you don't feel that it is fitting your daughter right, you can always take it off! Deb w. Guest guest
Hi...We are thrilled with Matt's DOC band. He didn't have any problems adjusting to the band and we are seeing excellent progress! Welcome to the group. You will find them very supportive and knowlegable! /DOC/10-7-03 @10mos./PA new, getting DOC Band, does it really work and is it safe? Hello, I just joined the list. Guest guest
By the way, at 5 1/2 months you should see excellent correction. And one nice thing about Cranial Technologies and DOC bands is that this is all they do and you can be sure that the orthotists are specifically trained to use these bands for treating plagio. and Mattdasheene1992 <dmajorryan@...> wrote: Hello, I just joined the list.
