Guest guest
The subject line is how I started out my morning today. I must have been getting to secure in thinking that we were past those days, so I have now been brought back to reality. hasn't been sleeping without the help of clonidine for a few months now. He still wakes nightly around 3a.m., though, but usually after covering him up, he settles back to sleep. The last few nights though, he's been awake around 5 a.m., so I have him come to bed with Mark and I so that I know where he is. Today was no different, until he and I got up and when I took him to the bathroom to remove his Goodnite, I found he had passed a little poop during the night. Then it got ugly. It was on his hand, feet, the bathroom rug, my pj's where I had knelt down.....then I searched his room, and found some, etc. I had to strip my bed because I pretty much assumed it was there too. What a $hitty way to start the day (pardon the pun!) Sue
Guest guest
Penny, I'm not sure. He started having sleeping problems for the first time ever a couple months ago. Dr. put him on clonidine at night for that. We figured his adderall wasn't doing much for him at school, so we added a 1/2 tablet of clonidine in the am and and 1/2 tablet at lunch and started decreasing the adderall. He's been pretty much like talking to a wall again lately. Of course, as the school year has progressed, he's also had a huge increase in his sensory needs, just like last school year, so stress could well be a factor, but not just from the holidays. He doesn't want to go shopping with me anymore, to the extent that I prefer not to take him if I can help it. This has never been an issue before. I'm just not sure where one trigger starts and another begins. I started upping his adderall again this am, and now I have to wait to see the Dr. again. I should have an appointment coming up soon. I also need to see him for because his anxiety has been really high and his temper is quick to show. He says he doesn't know why he's like this, but he doesn't like it either.
