Guest guest
Hmmm, new year's resolution? I used to resolve to lose weight but that never worked. I used to resolve to exercise more, but that never worked. Maybe I should resolve to stop making resolutions. Guest guest
Penny I don't really make any New Year's Resolutions. I always just hope that we make it though another year. Although this year I hope that they can come up with a way to help my daughter learn better. She struggles so hard in school and I just don't have the patience to help her out a lot at home. I have so many problems going on with all my kids and with my life I just can't be bothered. I know that sounds like I am a bad mother but that is the way it is and I can't change the way I feel. I also wish that will start talking this year. I guess those will be mine gets the right help starts talking stop arguing with me over everything. Lori New Year's Resolution Ok all - Here's an interesting idea (at least I think so) - How would everyone like to post their New Year's Resolution. I'll keep all the mail in a separate folder and we can all check back next year to see how we did... Any takers? Guest guest
Penny: Lest you feel ignored (I know you HATE that!) let me say that I am thinking about this one. I never succeed in getting anywhere with New Year's resolutions and I am unwilling to fail in public, but maybe I'll give it a try. Salli P.S. C'mon, everyone else, be bold, be brave. Guest guest
Well lets see here. I got an early start on my resolutions this year. In July I started my diet.. and have lost 55 pounds. In October, I VOWED to let my hair grow.. and so have, have not cut it.. (thats why it looks like an old mop..lol) In November, I FINALLY quit smoking. As a former marine.. excercise is in my blood..lol So I guess my resolution for this year.. HAS to be to slow down, and take more time to MYSELF. I havent done that in over 7 years. > Ok all - > > Here's an interesting idea (at least I think so) - > > How would everyone like to post their New Year's Resolution. Guest guest
About 10 years ago, I resolved to never make another New Year's resolution...only one I ever kept. :-) So, as much as I'd like to, I won't be able to participate without ruining my record... Guest guest
OK, I've come up with a resolution: NO MORE GUILT. No more guilt for not trying every treatment, or therapy or program. No more guilt for taking time for myself once in awhlie. No more guilt for those mornings when Doug gets up with the kids so I can sleep in. No more guilt for just saying no when I've had enough. I don't know if I can stick with it. I'm a Catholic and was practically raised on guilt, but I'll give it a shot. Not stopping smoking though because first I'd have to start smoking, tonight, I guess, and that seems silly. Besides I just went out to the store and I don't want to run out and buy any cigarettes.
