There is no conclusive test for MS. They usually dx it via MRI and/or spinal

tap. The spinal tap is an uncomfortable procedure that may bring on a NASTY

headache that lasts for several days, so I would be happy they didn't decide to

do that first! What the docs are looking for is leisions in the brain and/or

spinal cord. If so, then they will look for IgG and white blood cells in the

spinal fluid. That is how they determine or dx MS....not 100%. Does she have

MS symptoms? Numbness, tingleing, eye problems, balance problems, bladder

issues or walking problems?

I didn't want to intervene and sound negative but that test....The spinal tap

can create anexaserbation and also cause prolonged headaches which could become

a chronic issue. Unless you are sure you want to take the traditional meds for

ms, there is really no reason to know for sure. It may sound absurd but as long

as you rule out anything serious such as brain tumor, sarcoidosis, Lyme,

syndrome, any other auto-immune condition, why not do alternative and see if the

dis-ease progresses? Many of us have halted or reversed our conditions and no

need for anything toxic which will destroy the good cells in the body. Best

wishes with whatever your decision is and a good friend once said to me: Don't

be wishing for that diagnosis. This was when I was given the run around for

years. Sometimes when we don't know for sure, we can still be proactive in

living the very best lifestyle but not have that little label in the back of our

minds. It can be too much to handle for some people and becomes a self

fulfilling prophecy when you read erroneous statistics or whatever. There are

thousands of people on this planet who know they have some type of chronic

condition but live extremely healthy and productive lives by doing the things we

discuss in this group and researching themselves. Best, Kathy

Have a test done for Syndrome just to be safe. Also, a clicking? Possible

TMJ or is the clicking an internal clicking? If it is clicking of the jaw with a

headache, that is TMJ. It is possible that hormone supplementation could help

her since the symptoms may be correlated with the birth of your children. Best

wishes, Kathy

Hi Don,

It sounds like your wife could use a good chiropractic adjustment also.

Childbirth can definately mess with the alignment of your back and also

carrying kids around on your hip throws your back out. The headaches

could also be related to that.

My sister had clicking in her jaw for almost 20 years or so. She thought

it was really bad TMJ and it got really bad and she could hardly open

her mouth all the way. Then when she recently had some routine dental

work they replaced a filling in the back of her mouth and over night the

clicking and pain were gone. Now she can eat in silence!

Possible TMJ or is the clicking an internal clicking? If it is clicking of the
