Guest guest
This is a very big deal! Not only errors in you record (med allegies, and that is a pretty big error), but incorrect and important info as well. I'd ask about the Hep C to start, whether you move on to another doctor or not. And, yeah, maybe a new doc would be a good idea. Clearly this doc isn't paying attention to you and it doesn't sound like she "knows" you or is going about treating you well at all. The problem is that is confirming my history, I learned that she had it in my records that I have hepatitis C, am no allergic to Keflex, which I am, and that in office exams were all normal. She has never given me an in-office exam. She just went by what other records said and I said. She put me on thyroid medication without double checking the blood test and diabetic medication when my A1C was within normal limits (although barely). She has me on 15 difference medications and has never checked to see how they are working. What really scares me is that she said I have hep-C. She never told me that, nor did any other doctor. Do you think I should start over with a doctor and neurologist (she has been both to me) or am I being too overly sensitive? My kids think it is no big deal, but then they don't think MS is a big deal either. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
a, It seems there are a lot of people not taking your health concerns seriously. I am sorry to hear that. Medical professionals have an obligation to keep accurate records, if errors have been made they need to be corrected! You do need to know accurate health information as well. I think you should definately explore these concerns with either your new doc (who should do a complete physical) or your old doc with whom you have a history. I wish you much luck in sorting all this out. You have enough going on with out worring about things that may not be truely active health issues. Stay strong!
