Guest guest
Belinda, Can you get any other number designations out of it? There are two usual ways to express results of a manual muscle test, and both are acceptable. Either: (any number between 0 and 5)/5, dictated e.g. 4/5 (doc may add plus or minus for half-grades) Or: the descriptive equivalent: 0/5 = " zero " 1/5 = " trace " 2/5 = " poor " 3/5 = " fair " 4/5 = " good " 5/5 = " normal " Descriptive grades may also be modified with plus or minus, e.g. " fair-minus. " If your doc is ending the grade with " /5, " seems like he must be giving you the numeric grades. I've worked in PT for 5 years and have never heard of letter grades being assigned. Hope this will help you. CW > > Subject: Understanding Rehab PE > > > > I really don't know what this is.
