Guest guest
We're supplementing Amino Acids, and most of them are still low on the Genova Diagnostics urine amino acid analysis. A few things are sticking out at me that I wanted to run by you all. A common theme seems to be " GI dysfunction " (no real big surprise) and " gastric hypochlorhydria " . I presume the second is low stomach acid. What can be done for this? I'm certain this is a problem. Once he urped up his enzymes more than 30 minutes after taking them, and they were pretty much still intact. Is this from low stomach acid? " intestinal malabsorption " is another recurring theme. I feel like we're doing everything already to heal the gut. Are we missing something? (we're on the diet(s), taking enzymes, probiotics, nystatin...) The other prevalent theme is " dietary protein insufficiency " . He's getting protein at every meal. Should we add more protease? I'm getting frustrated, after more than a year at this. All are somewhat " better " but still rather low. Should we try switching brands of aminos? Should we try to get all of it compounded or just the REALLY low ones? Thanks for any insight!
