Guest guest
We did the ham and Au-grauten 'taters yesterday so we'd have ham to go with out eggs this morning. I have a small pork roast I'm about to put on for tonight. We were going to dress out a bun but Rob decided to spare it, for now, and do the pork instead. I got a whole loin at the beginning of the month for about $12 and this will be the last of it. I hope I can find one like that again, it has been SO good! The ham was donated from our Minister friend, , same guy that married us over 10 years ago and baptised Robbin in the St Lawrence river for us. I Do hope that the care-box gets here, as that is about it for us for food for this month unless we kill something...:-) Since we had that visitor from Maine our normal food supply went rather faster then usual...The GOOD news is Robbin's and my SSI will go *UP* next month! Not by a wholehelluvalot, but everything helps! We did noy get a white Christmas, but we did get rain, and lots of it. If it had been snow we would have had about 15 " , so I am glad it was rain! It hasn't been an awefully painful day, I did just take a Motrin 800 though, as I am in some pain, sut seeing that I got up at the crack of dawn to watch Robbin open his goodies, and I *usually* sleep till the crack of noon (I did have a wee nap while he played, before arising to make breakfast for the family) I'm not doing all that bad. Oh, and I gotta tellya, Tucker, the new boarder, gave us a $300 cappuccino maker for Christmas!!!!!! No kidding!! It is AWESOME, all stainless and shiny, and makes some pretty high-test coffee!!! Even has the steamer nozzle! I think he likes us :-) He got engaged Christmas even with a ring that Rob made for him, out of electrum (a gold/silver mix) and fine silver. It was kind of neat. She will be moving in maybe next month, and they will be taking over most of the upstairs and paying more in rent, so, as they say, it's all gooooood! Rob will be performing the ceremony, they asked me to co-officiate but I might beg off, as the reception will be here (as well as the wedding) and I'll have to oversee the cooking, I think it would all be a bit much for me, we'll see... and Sharon, where is Challis? Hugs to ALL Y'ALL!!!! Akiba --- Jackie Hanan wrote: > > MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL! Guest guest
Jackie- Sounds like you had a great Christmas! And the dinner sounded yummy. My fiance and I didn't do much. He had to work part of the day, so while he was gone, my youngest daughter stopped by with her two little tikies. They didn't stay too long. After they left, I was alone until my fiance came home from work. We got dressed and headed out to Fortune Palace. A really nice Chinese restaurant and had lemon chicken. We toasted with a draft beer for him and a glass of white wine for myself. Then came back home. Not a real exciting Christmas, just quiet and mellow, the way I like it. Lifting you up in prayer as always...Your American Idol buddy... http://360.yahoo.com/vallee45 -- EVERYONE "MERRY CHRISTMAS"! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL! I hope you are having a good day, low pain, and minimal Multiple surprises as n so aptly calls our MS!! :-) We are missing our grandchildren as they are with their mother, and their daddy is on his way here to watch the Eagles and Cowboys game, and have ham dinner later! We’ve made Ham with orange sauce on the side, [it cuts the saltiness], potatoes Au`Graten, green beans, carrots, and apple crisp and pies for dessert! Next weekend we will have the girls here to open their presents from us, and theirs to us. We had the extended party Sat. and it was really fun, and so great that I actually was able to make it. It was a little iffy after we had the power outages if I’d gain enough strength to be able to get out the door with how weak my legs have been. But I survived, and I’m soooooooo glad I did. We have a new baby [great niece] and it’s the first time all the grandchildren have been together. 7, Skylar 5, Marcus 3 ½, na 3, and Aimee` 3 weeks old! Wow what a ruckus they made running and chasing each other, and laughing, and opening presents, and just getting along fabulously! [Aimee` of course wasn’t running around, but she did so good, and slept thru all the high energy noise] By the time we were all done with everything I was ready for a nap. It was a 30 min drive home, and as soon as I got in the door I headed for bed where I slept for ½ hr. That was enough to refresh me and get up to watch a Christmas movie with Steve [hubby] and Tina [dau]. I’d love to hear about everyone else’s days, and how you did! Akiba what a wonderful present Robbin and you all received! God is so good! :-) Love and hugs to all! Jackie in Oregon

Guest guest
Well you win THAT bet!!! I am watching out the window, there was an apparently bad accident on the interstate outside, I see/hear medivac 'copters there are flashing lights everywhere and traffic is a parking lot. Ambulances abound, police cars too many to count...it is dark out so I can't see what is going on other then all the lights...I'm praying for whoever got into that bad of an accident... Guest guest
I'm so glad you had such a great time! We went to church on Christmas Eve where these four grandkids I live with participated by carrying in the poinsettias, holly and ivy into the church. It was quite a procession of adorable children carrying all those decorations for the manger. When we came home the kids each made gingerbread houses. Santa came during the night and we had our Christmas here at home. We left here about noon for Challis' house, arriving about 3:30. I immediately put the spiral hams in the oven and made a huge pan of scalloped potatoes to stick in the oven too. While the food was cooking we opened presents. Challis, (her hubby) and their four kids were there. "We" are me, my son , his wife , and their four kids. Challis and 's 20 year old half-brother Josh also came. (he's a sweet boy even if he does call me "grandma" ....I mean who really wants their ex-husband's son to call them grandma!?! It was great with all my grandkids there together! The kids are Maya (3), (4), Jenna (6), Kelsey (9), Katelyn (10), (12), (16) and (19). What a crew, huh? lol Challis lives on 40 acres. The kids spent time riding their bikes, chasing each other and playing games. We had a great time and messed up Challis' house completely. We came home today. We were happy to see that the neighbors across the street with the potato launcher didn't launch any more cans of salmon, green beans or refried beans in our yard while we were gone! What a relief. We had seen the police at their house Christmas Eve so maybe they got hauled off to the pokey for Christmas giving us a reprieve from the canned food cannons. Now we can look forward to New Year's Eve and one of my favorite day of the year--New Year's Day when I always reflect on life and think about priorities and goals..... love to all!Sharon I was trying to daydream, but my mind kept wandering. EVERYONE "MERRY CHRISTMAS"! We¢ve made Ham with orange sauce on the side, [it cuts the saltiness], potatoes Au`Graten, green beans, carrots, and apple crisp and pies for dessert! Next weekend we will have the girls here to open their presents from us, and theirs to us. We had the extended party Sat. and it was really fun, and so great that I actually was able to make it. It was a little iffy after we had the power outages if I¢d gain enough strength to be able to get out the door with how weak my legs have been. But I survived, and I¢m soooooooo glad I did. We have a new baby [great niece] and it¢s the first time all the grandchildren have been together. 7, Skylar 5, Marcus 3 ½, na 3, and Aimee` 3 weeks old! Wow what a ruckus they made running and chasing each other, and laughing, and opening presents, and just getting along fabulously! [Aimee` of course wasn¢t running around, but she did so good, and slept thru all the high energy noise] By the time we were all done with everything I was ready for a nap. It was a 30 min drive home, and as soon as I got in the door I headed for bed where I slept for ½ hr. That was enough to refresh me and get up to watch a Christmas movie with Steve [hubby] and Tina [dau]. I¢d love to hear about everyone else¢s days, and how you did! Akiba what a wonderful present Robbin and you all received! God is so good! :-) Love and hugs to all! Jackie in Oregon

Guest guest
Hi ' Do you mean the pattern I made for our granddaughter and also the smaller version that are the lapghans for seniors? The only other thing I have on my blog are shawls. Do you know how to do a basic granny square? If so thats what our granddaughter blanket is I just kept going till I got the size I wanted and the lapghans I stopped at 36 inches. I will see if I can find the pattern on the internet rather than try to type it out. I would hate to mess up and put something down wrong. I will go look right now. I hope you are having a good day, low pain, and minimal Multiple surprises as n so aptly calls our MS!! :-)> > We are missing our grandchildren as they are with their mother, and their daddy is on his way here to watch the Eagles and Cowboys game, and have ham dinner later! > > I¢d love to hear about everyone else¢s days, and how you did!> > Akiba what a wonderful present Robbin and you all received! God is so good! :-)> > Love and hugs to all!
