, thank you so much!

You're right...the insurance is the worst part. We pay them so much

and yet they have so many exclusions, etc. The one thing that's

keeping me preoccupied right now is waiting for Cranial Tech to

submit to Aetna and seeing if they will cover or not.

I went to Aetna's website and saw that DOCbands are covered under

Durable Medical Equipment but certain criteria has to be met. I

just called Cranial Tech and was told by Wanda that only a clinician

can give me the info I wanted (measurements, etc). She said that my

son has <1 std deviation and his cephalic valve index is 84% which I

don't know at this point if it's a good thing, insurance-wise. Like

you, I was told by Charlotte that we can go for the treatment or

leave my son's head alone. Seeing how misaligned his ears are, I

told her I am very bothered if I don't do anything.

Before this I was worried that my son's assymetry is worse. Now,

ironically I was thinking if only his assymetry were a bit worse,

then Aetna will surely cover it. I'm such a bad mother for even

thinking that.

Well, whatever happens, I have to do this for my son.
