Guest guest
I had friends once who "made" their Christmas tree with construction paper. Mom and the two little kids cut and pasted until they had a tree, which was stuck to the living room wall. And decorated with more construction paper ornaments. ) And when Dad came home that day, he was very impressed with the great job the kids had done. Of course! LOL ) Challis Trimm wrote: just a suggestion, but how about paper chains from construction paper and glue, popcorn strands, let robin color and cut out pictures from a dollar store coloring book and hang the decorations everywhere if you can't get a tree. Decorate everything that will stand still. 'Akiba Michels <akyba> wrote: I don't HAVE any decorations from before. None. Forthe past few years we've only had one of those little1' tall trees from the dollar store, and even that gotleft behind in the move. See, when Rob was growing up,his folks made him miserable during the Holidays.Because he was (is) color blind, they would not lethim help decorate (you can't see the colors so youdon't know how to do it) and because both of hissiblings had CF he was excluded from EVERYTHING andleft home with grandma, while the rest went out fordinner, or movies, or whatever (Well, son, they'resick, you see...). SO it has taken me 13 years to gethim this far. I think that Robbin is the ONLY thingthat has brought him out of that shell. I might havehelped a bit, but it is a SON that BELIEVES that isthe thing to do the trick.Rob is doing the psychic party thing on New Years.ONLY reason I'm not fighting him on it is they'veguaranteed im at least $250 for the evening (evening?huh. It'll last until at least 4 a.m, then hopefullyhe can stay at a friend's near there and not have todrive home that tired with the roads full of revellingdrunks...in D.C. no less!!)Ok, so thereya go...HugsAkiba--- Sharon Marsden <wobbletowalk> wrote:> What happened to your decorations from years before?> Maybe you could get an artificial tree from a> thrift store?
