Guest guest
You are the mom. If you think there is a problem that need further evaluation, you should go for it. Cranial Tech will not try to push you into their product if you child doesn't need it. Good luck! Guest guest
You need to do what YOU and YOUR family feel the most comfortable doing. If you feel it's very minor and you'd be comfortable with it being like it is today forever (IF it didn't correct itself in time), then so be it. If not, then call the Cranial Tech clinic (Rehab Designs of America) in KC and see what they think. They'll give you their honest opinion and will not recommend banding unless they truly feel necessary. Guest guest
I ditto everything that has been said and would like to also add that I would ask that ped to put what he said in writing and if it doesn't become less noticable with age or self-correct, that he will be financially responsible for any health problems or surgery that he incurred at a later date. Lets see what kind of guarantee he gives you then. Guest guest
Explain to your ped. that you are not discrediting him but you would prefer to get a second opinion to be safe. He will most likely refer you on to a cranio-fracial specialist. If not I would do what makes you feel comfortable and get the 2nd opinion anyhow. Guest guest
Hi Hillary, Perhaps for peace of mind you should go to CT and have your baby evaluated. They won't band a baby if they don't think he/she needs it. /Makenna/LLUMC helmet grad --- In Plagiocephaly , " Steve Barlow " <sbarlow@m...> wrote: > ok just got back from the ped who i do happen to like but i am unsure what do to now > he said he did see the asymtary and that it appears as if his face on the left side droop ever so slightly but that > it awsnt enough to be concerened about then he told me about the horriable babys that he has seen taht were just very clearly mishapen, and that he didnt beleive there was any sort of help for corbyn that he was just that way and as he got bigger and moved more that it would be less noticable not to worry > i think i will call the crainotech here in kc and see if can get him evauled if i have to payout of pocket to be sure > i just want to be sure that there isnt something that can be done and i didnt do it i wouldnt be able to live with that soo any suggestions , i mean because it is soo minor should i just leave it be and ignore it ? > hillary from kc mo
