Guest guest
Aspergers and Girls is not by Tony Attwood. The foreword is by him. There are several writers within the book, and some of the chapters I did find enlightening. Others, I stopped reading them and going on to the next section. Notably, Temple Grandin did author one of the chapters. Overall, it's a decent read, but I don't feel is for those on the Spectrum, just for people who are interested in Girls on the Spectrum. Guest guest
You might try " Aspergirls " , by Rudy Simone. I got a complimentary copy a couple of weeks ago, but haven't read or reviewed it yet. Have heard some good things about it, though. Guest guest
I skimmed this book some time ago and decided not to purchase after reading a chapter that was intended to be practical self help advice but really, it was about presenting yourself as non autistic. I felt uncomfortable with it as an adult. As a teenager, I would have found it destructive, reinforcing my sense of inadequacy. > > > > Has anyone here read the Tony Attwood book " Aspergers and Girls " ?
