Guest guest
My wife used to go there, the last visit cost $1100. All three of her visits were astronomical. Guest guest
From what I have heard, IF you can afford him, Dr Holtorf is good, but I have not heard ONE good thing about his colleages in the same clinic. If you decide you can pay this fee, insist on only him for your doctor. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
Hi ~ Where in Ohio is your doc? thanks, ~ -----Original Message----- I go to a Bodylogic doc in Ohio. He is wonderful. Does saliva testing for adrenal fatigue, uses Cortef, prescribes Armour, likes depressed TSH levels, and tests for RT3. His prices are very reasonable and I get 80% reimbursed through my out-of-network coverage.
Guest guest
Hi Neil, Who did your wife see at the Holtorf Medical Center? Did they recommend a host of vitamins and B12 shots, etc.? The B12 shots actually gave me energy and the only other thing they recommended that helped was the Mito-max that had L-tyrosine in it. T3 did help at first, but I never got passed 20 mcg without trouble. I had never been given a saliva test, but the blood test for Cortisol levels was on the low end of normal. So, I am now getting a saliva test on my own. Does you wife still go there? I am in Minnesota and looking for someone who deal in adrenals. I don't know if I can do the route of Cortisol again. That was a nightmare for me. I guess I will wait and see the outcome of the saliva. Guest guest
Val, Have you heard of bodylogic? Apparently, they do blood testing and/or saliva testing. The person I spoke with said they do saliva testing for adrenals. She said they do a panel of 19 hormonal tests and get 59 results. The do compounded prescriptions for bioidentical hormones. This is another facility that doesn't take insurance. I know you mentioned those are usually the best because they treat by symptoms and not just by test results and work with you. Here is the BodyLogicMD Blog at http://bodylogicmd.wordpress.com/ if anyone is interested. Guest guest
Thanks for your response. How much did it cost you to initially go to the Bodylogic doc? I am in Minnesota and and I think the iniital consult is $395.00 and follow-up is $275. The blood testing varies from $450 to $950. Does that sound about right? Do you feel any better? I think my insurance will pay for the lab. The last lab I had was in March. How long have you been going there? Also, what does Cortef do? I tried using Cortisol SR and it didn't work for me with higher doses. I had a hard time sleeping and breathing. What were your worst symptoms? I appreciate anything you can tell me about them. Thank you. Rhonda Re: ? about RT3 to T3 ratio I go to a Bodylogic doc in Ohio. He is wonderful. Guest guest
Can I ask what type of insurance do you have. I am with Medica and have a HSA account, so we pay lots until our deductible is met. I have met in network, but I have a ways to go on the out-of-network.
