Guest guest
Jen, I am so, so sorry about Trentyn! I'm sure you must have been scared out of your mind. Febrile seizures can be absolutely frightening-looking. I myself as a child had what they called back then " fevers of undetermined origin, " but never went into a seizure, just had hallucinations which I remember clearly to this day even though I was itty-bitty at the time. I think they run in my family. My nephew had three seizures when he was little, the first one of which he had in the car on the way to a well-visit. My sister has no memory of it, but witness say she wheeled it into the hospital, threw the door open, left the car running and grabbed him in the carseat and all, and blasted through the emergency room doors screaming, " Somebody help him! " Zachary had all the tests you could have, and absolutely nothing was wrong. He is a totally fine 7 year old today. In Zachary's case, there were no indications that he wasn't feeling well, or even that he was feeling a little " off, " before any of the febrile seizures, nor were they followed by any degree of illness. Guest guest
Hello Jenniffer... I really, really hope Trentyn is doing much better now. Even though I don't remember any of it, I used to seizure with high fever... even today, as an adult, I have to be really careful when I get sick because I can hallucinate and go into a seizure really easy. It has been 14 years since the last episode and I still remember my mom's face when she found me in my room almost unconscious with a really high fever... next thing I knew i was in the hospital for one week. Please, let us know what the doctor says. I truly pray that it just remains as a really bad memory. Also, thanks for the advice of keeping the band off with fever. I wouldn't have guessed. Guest guest
McKenna has only been in her STARband for exactly one week. She had a rough couple of night, especially with the high humidity we had. I also gave in one night when she woke screaming from being overheated. The niext night she did fine and has been fine since. She's doing awesome with it. As a matter of fact, I'm going to post a before picture and a picture from tonight. I'm completely amazed at the difference in just one week! Her picures are under " McKenna " if you want to take a look. Seeing the difference already was SO encouraging to me.
