the monsters return/autistic husbands

hi

well my two oldest ones have returned from their dads after the christmas

holidays and they are so hyper its unbelievable .their dad doesnt know way

to discipline them so he just lets them run riot.When they get home they

think they can do exactly the same and then are confused when they cant.

My husband had to go to a funeral yesterday because of his autistic trait he

put his mind to go even though none of his family were going and it took hm

the whole day to get there and back for half an hours funeral.

When he got home and I was tired after having looked the kids on my own all

day he could accept the fact that I didnt want to talk just to go to sleep.

we had a few words this morning but its so tiring to tell an adult the

things that you think he should know.does anybody else have this?

could we set up a support group for adults with autistic partners?

well only one more week to go and then they all go back to school and I get

some peace for now they are all calling me

help me regain some sanity

Two such groups exist already. One is called ASPIRES and it is part of

FEAT. I could get you the address probably as I am a member. Many of the

members do have children with autism as well.

The other one starts with " F " and ends with " S " and it has a whole bunch of

" A's " in the middle, two or three, can't recall how many. I'll see if I can

find that too, if you are interested.
