Guest guest
Hi, Adrienne: I think that you did pretty great with explaining. As a matter of fact, you did a fine job. Just because a person has that " one " stone showing up on ultra-sound, doesn't really mean much. Like you said, that one stone may not be the trouble-maker stone. The sludge/sand stuff can cause as many problems as the stones can. My friend, who is a R.N., says that some people have come in for surgery with GB attacks, but they've had no stones. When their GBs are removed, they're full of sand/sludge stuff. The bile backup is what causes the pain. As long as the bile can flow through like it's supposed to, then you won't have the pain. Perhaps this is why so many walk around with GBs full of gallstones but never have a problem. Maybe their bile flow is still maintained in spite of the stones. My husband never has every had a GB problem, and I mentioned to him one day that maybe he ought to do a cleanse. He said that what if he does the cleanse and it stirs up a problem. Well, I suppose it's possible. It's good to get this stuff out of us, though. I wish that I had known about this many years ago, to be honest. I would have been doing the cleanses right and left. Guest guest
Hi Barry, Don't panic, you're doing great! Dr. Hulda says you need to pass about 2000 stones before you're cleansed of them-at least 4 to 5 cleanses, I think Dr. says, and then do them a couple times a year to maintain. As I understand it, the pain is caused when your body tries to pass a stone, pressure from the bile backing up behind the stone (Someone correct me if I'm wrong!). You probably flushed out the stone that was causing your most recent pain, which is why you got relief. Many people have gallstones in their gallbladders and remain unaware that they are there, never having any pain. Theoretically, that 1cm stone in your gallbladder may never cause you any pain. However, since your body is making gallstones, it will continue to do so, and your symptoms may return. You may be able to slow the process of making them or stop it if you make some changes in your diet. Get a hold of Dr. 's books, and though I haven't read it yet, Dr. Cabot has a diet that others here recommend. Have you done a parasite and kidney cleanse? That's supposed to help make the liver/GB cleanse more successful. As I understand it, not all stones show up on ultrasounds. You might have passed some GB stones in your first cleanse. Agnes has posted that GB stones are multi-faceted, liver stones smoother, irregular shaped. Look at the pictures posted in the testimonial section and on the curezone.com website. It will take some time, but read everything posted on this website...there's a wealth of knowledge there. I had an ultrasound done before my GB surgery, and only very small stones and sludge were visible, and a small amount at that. However, after surgery I continued to have " attacks. " I most likely still had a stone stuck in the common bile duct-not visible on ultrasound. Post surgery, I began doing the cleanses and passed a 1.5 cm stone on my second cleanse. Furthermore, you could have your gallbladder removed and still continue to have pain, because your liver still makes stones! I always lie still, on my back for the first 20 min. like Dr. suggests, and then I sleep which ever way comes naturally. (I no longer have my gallbladder though, so I can't really speak to sleeping position for those who still have their GBs.) Well, I hope I've been helpful. Guest guest
Hi Susie, Thanks. I too have talked to my husband about him doing a cleanse. He jokes that every time he eats an Oreo, he's doing a cleanse!(Not!!!) Well, I almost have him convinced to give it a try...he's been amazed at how many stones I've passed. My daughter, who is 18, is also considering doing the cleanse. I already have them on a better diet ....except for the Oreos! Guest guest
Barry, I also have calcified stones (3), the largest 1.3 cm. I had done 15 cleanses trying to get my gallbladder clear. But they stay in there. I think I moved one of the calcium stones out tho. I believe like Dr. Cabot says that " diet is the key " . And hopefully that will soften and dissolve the stones. I haven't done a cleanse since Oct, 2000 and haven't had problems. 1 cm isn't that big. It's just that calcium stones are difficult to move out. One can try all sorts of things to get it out but diet is very important. Good luck! ----- Original Message ----- From: " barry91162 " <barry91162@...> <gallstones > Sent: Friday, December 14, 2001 8:10 PM Subject: 1 cm stone in gall bladder. Guest guest
as I perceive from what I've read - it's the calcified stones that show up. I've done 3 cleanses and only the first cleanse released stones. I've had an ultra sound and still have stones (although don't know size). Diet is important. I had an attack last night after eating chocolate and having 2 glasses of wine (how will I get through the holiday season?) Chang says that the Gold Coin Grass softens and crushes calcium stones, but I don't know the documentation. But I'm trying it. Good luck Suzanne > Barry, I also have calcified stones (3), the largest 1.3 cm. I had done 15 > cleanses trying to get my gallbladder clear. But they stay in there. Guest guest
Dear Adrienne, Thank you. You have been very incouraging and helpful. Yes, I did do the morning fat-free diet just like Dr. Hulda's cleanse suggests. I think you were maybe right about my flus eliminating a common duct stone that may have been the pain producer. I will continue to flush and see what happens. I'm on a fat-free diet now so I am not really sure if your answer is my solution. I'm afraid to eat something fatty and test the theory. I love pizza, big macs, etc, and I know I will try a pizza again soon to see if the attack happens. Even though I will continue a good diet I would also like to eat some junk food every once in a while like a normal person again too. haha I heard that you can still have roughly 25% fatty foods after you are clean to maintain those fats that are used in the body as well. For now, as I cleanse, it is no fat. Someone else has mentioned that calcified stones are harder to pass than cholestoral stones? I never read this in any cleanse procedures. By what I've read, the stones will all pass out of the gb the same way. Softening by diet definitely must help. If I do 4 or 5 more flushes and the ultrasound is clear, I'm having a dominos pizza to celebrate. haha Then back to the diet of course. :-) Thanks again for your info.
