That depends on whether Salli is addressing Lou, or the mental hospital

attendant she is calling to come pick that nutbag UP!

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! What a STUPID IDEA!!!!

Kerri

Now HERE'S a brilliant idea...

Lou took the three little kids (Sophie says, " I'm not little! I'm a middle! " )

sledding yesterday. He brought them home a little sooner than Putter and Sophie

wanted because Robbie was cold.

Today he comes over to take them sledding again. He isn't sure if he wants to

spoil Putter and Sophie's fun by taking Robbie sledding as Robbie will almost

certainly tire before his older sibs.

So here is Lou's suggestion:

" Why don't I just run Robbie home and leave Putter and Sophie at the sledding

hill.

Now, dear readers, fill in the blanks. What did Salli say?

I am far too polite, but I said, " NO! " before he had completely finished his

sentence. Of course he had to ignore my advice; he said the cell phone's

battery was too low. Not true, but the hill is at a place where there is a

poor signal.

But, , it IS what I thought.

One of my greatest problems is that fact that I have to drag little kids

everywhere. If I had his attitude, my life would certainly be simpler

though, of course, I might no longer have five kids.

INSANITY!

What am I going to do?

Okay, sorry, I have no life but once again I respond to my own post.

What did I do? Well, I found I could not think without making sure Putter and

Sophie were okay. So I left Robbie with his two big brothers (he was watching

Powerpuff GIrls) and I drove to the sledding hill. I pulled into the parking

lot; it was very crowded. I could see Sophie and Lou immediately but not

Putter. So I rolled down the window, and I heard Lou say, " C'mon Putter " to a

child further down the hill. Because of the boring colors of Putter's snowsuit

(there were about half a dozen similarly dressed small boys) I could not

absolutely swear that it was Putter, but it did seem likely and I did not expect

that Sophie and Lou would be talking and laughing and calling a stranger boy

" Putter. " So I left, feeling fairly okay.

When I got home, this scenario occurred to me.

Lou returns from dropping off Robbie. Sophie is there alone, sledding. Lou

asks Sophie, " Where did Putter go? " " Over that way, " says Sophie vaguely

gesturing towards the road. " Oh, " says Lou, " Well, we'll look for him after we

finish sledding. "

Surely he would not be THAT irresponsible though.

So what do I do? Can I let him take these kids sledding again? He likes

sledding and they love it and naturally it is nice for me to have them off my

hands but how can I trust him? I think I shall have to go and get Robbie after

he has been there for about half an hour or something. I suppose that would

work.

Geez.

I am thinking I need to call that attendant now.

I think that's probably the better option. Or, you could suggest that ALL

of them warm up in the car for a bit before continuing to sled?

Geez.

You know what just struck me? That this is the same " type " of poor

choice that Gail exhibits. There is that lack of connection from

action to reaction. They said she isn't AS, but....I think I'm still

not convinced. Simple, common sense stuff and they are way out in

left field. You have to think for them. <big sigh>

Somehow, I don't really think the latter applies.

Yes, that would seem to be a good option too.

Now I must confess that apparently I have wronged Lou, though I wouldn't

have if he had ever shown much respect for my opinion and if he hadn't

thought of the totally witless plan of leaving Sophie and Putter. Anyway,

Sophie tells me that Lou did listen to me and that she and Putter were in

the car when Lou tossed Robbie at me. Lou hurried back to the car because

Putter was not pleased at the interruption in sledding.
