I'm really sorry! I am > awful with names. No need to be sorry, as the truth is - - I do not know myself. For the purposes of this list, and especially before school started - - it's the other way around. Madison is more severe than Syd. Behaviorally, she still is. More stims than Syd, who has only 2 or 3, and has less receptive language, although neither have expressive right now. But - - - first, my family noted it, and then the school keeps on stating it - - that Madison is cognitively more advanced than Syd. Madison does puzzles at school on her own <or so they claim>, Syd does not. Syd is compliant though <sorry Penny>, but Madison is less so. Madison " gets it " quicker.... like with DTT sessions..... do it myself, I get a big cookie - - get prompted, the witch gives me a crumb. <~~ that kind of thing. But I guess that says more about intelligence than autism. So where autism is concerned - - - Madison is the more affected one. I think, LOL. No wonder you are confused. I don't even know anymore. First she'll thank her mother who worked so hard for her and her father for making sure she had good teeth and Sydney for being the best sister anyone ever had. Then she'll thank all the teachers who taught her so well.. And then she will thank ME! For always believing in her. Salli

Compliance, alas, alackaday, says very little about intelligence. If she's smart, she'll do fine though, even if she isn't compliant. Putter was NOT compliant when he started in his DTT classroom. The child was merely repeating the WORD " help " . I seriously doubt she has any idea what the word means LOL!!! But maybe in 6 months.
