First, I eat " that way " (rarely over 25 g. carbs/day and almost never over

30), and I suspect that I am not alone. I do not consider it " obsessive "

any more than regular testing or any other means of maintaining normal blood

sugars. Personally, I intend to control my diabetes by diet without meds if

or as long as I can. Meds do have their own risks. I have no problem with

using them when needed, but " when needed " v. the risks is the issue we each

face with differing conclusions.
