How to taper bromazepam properly

Hello ,

I've been taking 3 mg of bromazepam per day (1.5 mg in the morning, 1.5

mg in the evening) for the last two months. I've been trying to slowly

taper off the bromazepam, but it seems I've become hooked. I've tried

to gradually reduce the amount (0.75 mg in the morning, 1.5 mg in the

evening) and this worked fine. When I dropped the morning dose (0.75

mg, a quarter tablet) I would wake up the next day and feel like a

heroin addict off his drugs (jittery, akathisia, nausea). My doc

recommended I taper off by skipping the morning dose every two days. I

know the dosage is very minimal, but it is giving me a hell of a time

trying to reduce it.

Any suggestions?

Jeff
