Hi,

What kind of steriod are you using? I have Clob, but that is too

strong, huh? What about just regular, OTC Hydrocortisone cream? I

do have estrace, I used it for ~ 8 months and it did nothing, but it

makes sense that it would help rebuild the tissue now. I have major

fissures plus a hemmoroid. I didn't take care of my butt when I was

on vaca, so I got fissures again. I'm using the estrace on that.

Yesterday I started capsaicin treatments (again). Don't worry, not

on the part that was cut, only above my urethra where it hurts. I

tried it for ~ a week a few months ago, but wussied out. Question:

is dilator therapy for stretching out the actual scar tissue on the

skin or for the vaginal muscles?

Love and Prayers,

Ruth

Ruth,

The dialators are for the muscles that get further tightned during surgery

as a protective response. I don't remember if you had your hymen removed or

not, but if you did, you may be able to feel a ring around the area. I

first thought that this was scar tissue, but no it was the muscle. The

dialator therapy has helped streach that out some, but I am still very tense

so I am going to go see a PT for biofeedback.

The estrace will help alot with rebuilding your tissues. Meanwhile a

steriod could help with inflammation and thick scar tissue.

I would ask your doctor about it as he would know best, but right now I am

using a med. grade steriod Betamethisone. I was using Temovate prior to

surgery, but the doctor says it is too strong to use now.

Hi,

Yes, I did have my hymen removed and there is a ring. It hurts so

much to touch it, much less stretch it. Is that how yours was?

Love,

Ruth
